Barner is an exceptional scoring PG. Her handles and shifty moves are impossible for defenders to stay in position to defend Taylor's scoring attempts. Because she is a knock down 3-pt shooter, defense has to come out and face up, but Barner's speed and physical toughness propels her past in a blink causing help to come and leaving shooters open. Barner makes the right decision on finishing or kick outs. She is a game winning machine.

Barner is a flat-out scorer, transition, pick and rolls, and closeout situations. You name it. Her basketball I.Q combined with her complete skill set are a dangerous combination. She demands a defender arms length away at all times. If not, she will make them pay, knocking down the deep ball of the catch and even using James Harden like step backs to drain it off the dribble. Barner is a must watch player every time she steps on the court.

Barner can score from anywhere on the court, and she knows how to create space between her and her opponents with ball fakes, crossovers, hesitation moves, and everything in between. She stays ready to put up her shot whether she is pulling up for a midrange jumper or setting herself up for a deep three. Her defense creates more offensive possessions for her as she pushes steals up the court on fast break opportunities.
