May 2022 - Elite Hoop Report

5' 10" Asia Burton leaves no doubt that she is worthy of all her accolades. Not only does she have the skills that mark a true D1 college recruit, but her presence and poise on the floor is enough to keep her team pushing forward in games that many may think unwinnable.  Burton can score from all 3 levels, and she has great size to create shots regardless of where the defense comes from. Add great footwork with about half a dozen go-to moves, and you have Asia.  Defensively Burton has a good understanding of spacing, help D, and good closeout techniques. Not sure she is a good matchup for a shifty quick guard, but definitely can cover D1 bound wings.
